Given the large variety of AFM probes that is available Ssens does not keep stock of all coated AFM probes. Instead Ssens offers the coating of these probes as a service: we provide your probes with the surface chemistry of your choice.
With respect to the number of probes that are treated by us in one batch we have the restriction that it has to be possible to fit all the probes (without additional cutting) on a single 1 inch carrier. To limit handling time we ask you to send us the tips on as little wafer strips as possible. For instance we will treat 8 wafer strips of 10 by 4 mm in one batch, typically yielding a total of 40 coated probes.
